Hooray for the Douglas County commissioners who have the grown-up intelligence to understand how our government should work. Unelected experts, i.e., Tri-County Health, before whom we are to bow for their great learning, but who also can’t agree with much of anything, should not be making important policy decisions for citizens of Douglas County. Policy decisions are made by ELECTED officials who can be held accountable for those job-endangering, economy-breaking decisions. Let the voters be guided by the commissioners, not by the extremely emotional, frightened children who are screaming and throwing fear fits “to save lives.” Finally the commissioners are sayin “NO!” I congratulate them for their courage in standing up to a serious tantrum.
