Eleven women delivered food they purchased or collected to a
Salvation Army food bank two miles from their workout center.

For at least seven years, Curves fitness centers have donated
food to local food banks. Last year, the Curves team at 7424 S.
University donated to the same Salvation Army location but did it
with the traditional cars and pickup trucks. This year, they asked
the Albertson’s store, located in the same shopping center, to
donate the use of 11 grocery carts so they could push the carts the
two miles to the food bank in their local area.

About 1,000 pounds of food was pushed in carts over city streets
and up hills to reach the food bank. All totaled, the complete
donation was 4,300 pounds of food to the Centennial Salvation Army
food bank at Colorado Boulevard and Arapahoe Road.
