Making Space is a three-part series about Brighton’s Hispanic community. Part 1 is about a decade of Hispanic residents marching against discrimination. Part 2 follows the same individuals effecting change through local boards and a Hispanic community center. Part 3 looks at the present-day, assessing the progress achieved and the change yet to come.
For “Making Space,” MetroWest Newspapers partnered with COLab, the Colorado News Collaborative, a nonprofit coalition of more than 60 newsrooms across Colorado working together to better serve the public. Most importantly, “Making Space” came together because Hispanic community members of all ages shared their stories.
