City crews are gearing up for a number of major construction projects on roadways around Brighton.
The road improvement projects are planned to start this month and are expected to be complete later this year. Residents should expect some delays if their commute takes them through any of the construction areas while projects are underway. The projects include:
-Resumption of the city’s 2018 Street Preservation Project; a map of the affected streets can be found at https://www.brightonco.gov/286/Public-Works
-Improvements and a lane addition to the roundabout just west of the Interstate 76 and Bromley Lane junction
-Road widening on Colorado Highway 7 from 50th Avenue to the Speer Canal
-Roadway improvements on Bridge Street from 50th Avenue extending east to the Speer Canal
-Roadway surfacing on East Bromley Lane/152nd Avenue near South 50th Avenue
-Private development and construction near Prairie Center Parkway
In addition, crews from Lochbuie will do road surface work and widening along Weld County Road 2 from Interstate 76 to 50th Avenue.
