Cody Glatz, 18, passed away July 28 of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle crash in Adams County. He was born Aug. 31, 1999, in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Cody lived in Brush since 2015. He graduated from Brush High School in 2018. He was on the delayed entry program for the U.S. Marine Corps and was scheduled to activate in September. He loved working with his hands which included welding, timbering, woodwork and working on diesel engines.
Survivors include his parents, Shauna and former Prairie View High School football coach Rocky Schneider, of Brush, and Jack and Carla Glatz III, of Guffey; his two sisters, Shelby Glatz and Emma Schneider, of Brush; a brother, Talen Schneider, of Brush; and his grandparents, Cherri andAlvin Roybal, Jeff and Renee Dabney, and Jack and Sandy Glatz Jr.
A memorial service was Aug. 6 at the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the cremation and funeral arrangements.
