Englewood City Council encourages residents to voice opinions on the draft comprehensive plan during the public hearing that is part of the Nov. 21 meeting.

The public hearing is on the agenda of the city council meeting that will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 21 in the council chambers on the second floor of the Englewood Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway.

Work to create a new comprehensive plan began early this year. The city hired a consultant to assist with the process. Public input was encouraged so there were hours of meetings and gatherings during the process. The result is the draft document called Englewood Forward 2016, replacing the 2003 comprehensive plan titled Roadmap Englewood.

In the draft, the comprehensive plan is described as a vision for land development over the next 10 years.

The 156-page proposed plan is divided into four major sections, with each section designed to focus on a particular area of the plan and its realization.

The draft of the document is located on the city web site at www.englewoodgov.org.
