Paul (Nick) Smith, 85, of Spink, S.D., passed away in Brighton Oct. 28.
Nick was born in Sacramento, Calif., to Roy and Mable (Nelson) and married Shirley Vogt in November 1949. Nick worked in the family painting business before coming to Denver and working at Rocky Flats, where he retired after 25 years. After retirement, Nick began a career as an auctioneer between the years of 1982 and 1999. After his second career as an auctioneer, Nick moved to South Dakota, where he began buying and selling antiques.
Survivors include his son, Hal Smith, and daughter, Paula Morganflash; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three-great-great-grandchildren; as well as his brother, Chuck Smith.
His wife, his parents and five siblings preceded him in death,
