3500 Allison Street, Wheat Ridge CO 80033 My wife, Victoria, and I operate Cuttlefish Arts, a print and web design company. I hold a PhD in mathematics and conduct independent research. http://www.thomasjameslundyforwheatridge.com, 720-219-6753 1) Involved, Respectful, Fair-minded 2) Longtime Wheat Ridge resident, small business owner, extensive background in science and technology, involvement in the political process 3) 1. Promoting a general policy of working on behalf of the citizens, as opposed to imposing unwanted schemes and “solutions.” This includes exercising better control and evaluation of the activities of city staff. 2. Enhancing transparency in city government, openness in how decisions are reached, and complete and convenient access to city documents. 3. Formulating an innovative and imaginative approach to the future of Wheat Ridge, with an eye to sustainable and meaningful growth, while respecting established Wheat Ridge businesses. 4) I participated in the grassroots effort to place ballot question 300 before the voters. I feel this project is wrong for Wheat Ridge. The process by which the deal was devised was unacceptable, too. The fact that the proposal failed before the Planning Commission, as well as strong public opposition, should have been a red flag. 5) It is clear that the majority of citizens don’t approve of the road diet. I am inclined to restoring 38th Avenue to its original configuration, but first I want to be sure this is what the citizens desire. We must not impose another “plan from on high” on this important artery.
