My experience as a teacher, a professor and an attorney have made me strong, articulate and empowered to stand up for others. I am the best candidate for Ward One because I know how to make things happen. 3) Reducing crime Revitalization of South Thornton Economic Development including jobs 4) The city should continue to update our Trans Oriented Developments (TODs) surrounding our future passenger rail stations. Mixed use developments with a variety of housing and job opportunities for our community is imperative. We must also work with our existing neighborhoods to mitigate concerns. The stations will be good for our economy, but we must continue to work closely with our citizens who live near the tracks and future stations. 5)The current anticipated growth boundaries for the city make sense. Our city has a thoughtful comprehensive growth plan. Previous city councils have acquired water rights which will meet our city’s needs. The city needs to continue to have intergovernmental agreements with our neighboring cities and county. Thornton should only annex, in the future, in Adams County. Annexing in Weld County does not make sense logistically for our first responders. We need to make sure we are communicating with North Metro Fire about our anticipated growth.
