Ruby C. Swanson, 88, of Brighton, passed away July 21. She was born Oct. 5 1926, in Big Springs, Neb., to Ernest and Minnie (Mueller) Schlake. She married Ted Swanson Oct. 21, 1959, in Denver.
Ruby is survived by her son, Robert (Melissa) Swanson, of Brighton; four step-grandchildren; and five great-step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Vernon and Gail.
Visitation was July 26 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, in Brighton, which handled the arrangements. The funeral service was July 27, at Zion Lutheran Church. Graveside services followed at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
