A 39-year-old man has been arrested in an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office sting and charged with felony luring and exploitation of a child.
Aaron Paul Richman of Greenwood Village was arrested without incident Feb. 14 in the 7300 block of East Arapahoe Road after he approached an undercover deputy.
On Jan. 17, the Arapahoe County Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began an investigation of Richman, who was allegedly attempting to lure a 13-year-old female into sexual acts via the Internet.
Undercover investigators reportedly exchanged numerous online communications with the suspect with the potential of sexual activity.
Richman made arrangements to pick up the juvenile, who was actually an undercover investigator, according to the sheriff’s office.
Richman was taken into custody and transported to the Arapahoe County jail.
Bond was set at $50,000 and has been posted and Richman is no longer in custody.
ACSO is asking for individuals who may have information regarding Richman or additional criminal activity associated he may be associated with, to call the sheriff’s office at 303-795-4711.
