I was disappointed although not surprised to see Sen. Evie Hudak’s support for Sen. John Morse’s bill holding gun owners and manufacturers responsible for the acts of others.
I know in your re-election campaign you presented yourself as someone who would be representative of all of your constituents, not just the Democrats.
I find it clearly irrational to blame the makers, sellers and owners of gun related products for crimes perpetuated by criminals.
It is clearly a way of circumventing the our Second Amendment rights as American citizens and this bill is a way of scaring law abiding citizens out of gun ownership.
Of course it will as always have no effect on criminals as the legislature could pass 1,000 laws limiting gun ownership and they would really care less.
You obviously are term limited, thus as a lame duck politician it is obvious you are showing your true colors and able to align yourself with the progressive leadership in the Senate, the House and with the governor.
It is just another attempt to further erode the Second Amendment, a right you clearly have no respect for.
But why not, you won with such a clear mandate, barely winning as an incumbent by less than 400 votes.
I am thankful that Rep. Libby Szabo was re-elected and is able to truly represent myself and the Arvada/North Jeffco area.
