Brighton High School is in the market for a new volleyball coach.
Crystal Wagner, who had been the coach the past season and a half, stepped down to spend more time with her family.
Wagner was the coach last year after Sunnie Paintin stepped down in midseason. Wagner was on the search committee to find a new coach for this season. But when the group’s choices didn’t take the job, Wagner agreed to coach this season.
“She needs to be commended for what she did the last two years,” said BHS athletic director Todd Potestio. “She provided stability to the program. She was in a tough spot. But it shows the kind of character she has.”
