Ruiz charged
Joe Anthony Ruiz, owner of the residence at 1940 Eaton St., where Lakewood Police Agent James Davies was mistakenly shot and killed, was charged in court on Nov. 16.
Ruiz has been charged with: Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender, F6; Tampering with Physical Evidence, F6; Disorderly Conduct – firearm, M2; Prohibited Use of Weapon – drunk with a gun, M2; Obstructing a Peach Officer, M2; and False Reporting, M3.
He posted a $25,000 bond on Nov. 11 and has until Dec. 17 to request a preliminary hearing.
