Former athletes, friends and administrators stopped by the park outside the Brighton Recreation Center Saturday for a barbecue in honor former Brighton High School cross country and track coach John Martinez. Martinez stepped down from both jobs this spring after a 40-year career in coaching, 32 of which were at Brighton High School.
