Musicians and dancers from Polynesian Fiafia performed on the front lawn of the Bemis Library on Aug. 9, one of the first events of this year’s Western Welcome Week. The performance included the traditional music and dances of Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Western Welcome Week concludes Aug. 19, a day after Festival Day, which features the annual Grand Parade.
