Editor:
There are many people in political office difficult to trust, because they often say one thing and do another, exaggerate their accomplishments, or omit difficult facts.
That’s simply not the case with Barbara Kirkmeyer. You know where she stands, and where you stand with her. You might not agree with everything, but she is not one to sugarcoat or pander, or make things seem like something they are not. With Barbara, what you see and hear is exactly what you get.
I know Barbara through her considerable help reconstructing the historic Fort Lupton. She is a very valuable member of our team — from the hard physical labor of actually constructing the fort to planning for its legacy. She’s willing to listen, find solutions and remain positive even in conflict, managing to disagree without being disagreeable. She takes the lead because she is a leader; she has proven that time and again as she gets things accomplished for the people of Weld County.
As a colleague, voter and friend, I support her in her bid for re-election as Weld County District 3 Commissioner.
