Lorne Daniel, of Brighton, died peacefully in his home, loved ones present. Lorne was a very creative, energetic young man, with an amazing sense of humor. He loved being outdoors, singing country music, driving and caring for his many pets.
Following a stroke in 2001, he was left with many physical challenges that changed his life and health dramatically. Nonetheless, Lorne kept his determination to keep getting better. He woke every day and lived as well as he could in a body that no longer wanted to cooperate with him. Lorne was greatly admired for his courage to face his many challenges by all who knew him. He had a way of putting his troubles aside to make to others feel better. Lorne could definitely be a handful when things were not going according to plan. But that feistiness gave him the energy to face the day, ready for what life would throw at him. Lorne was a treasure and will be missed terribly.
A huge thank you to all of those who helped care for him through the years…Especially his best friend, Mike, who gave unselfishly of his time and energy to make Lorne’s world brighter. For this He has our endless gratitude.
Lorne did not wish to have a formal service, and the family is respecting that. We ask only that you remember him fondly and love the ones you love, every chance you get.
Lorne is survived by his parents, Dave and Cheryl Daniel; his siblings, Christina, Jeff and Sean Daniel, and Lorynda Sampson; his aunt, Lani Daniel; cousin, David Daniel; and many nieces and nephews.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
