The Elbert Creekside 4-H Club meeting was called to order at
3:15 p.m. July 10 by club president Kort Henderson at the Elbert
Christian Church.
Pledges were said and attendance was called. A secretary’s report
was given by Colton Rohleder, and club vice president McKenna
Henderson gave a treasurer’s report to fill in for club treasurer
Taylor Younger. Kort gave a Youth Council Report.
For old business the club talked about getting organized for fair
and parade preparations. McKenna put together a committee for
coordinating the club’s fair parade float. In new business the club
celebrated July birthdays of Taylor and Riley Younger and Nicci and
Katie Dickinson.
The club decided the next meeting would be at 3 p.m. Sept. 11 at
the Elbert Christian Church. Several announcements were made
including livestock books needing to be checked and signed before
the fair, fashion revue commentaries are due and club leaders’
council scholarship applications due.
Two presentations were done by Logan Winegar and Travis Cayou.
Winegar did his on “How to Fix a Hay Field” and Cayou did his on
“Truck Belts.”
