Claxton to represent Golden on Colorado Municipal League Policy Committee
The City Council approved the appointment of Councilwoman Marcia Claxton as its representative to the Colorado Municipal League Policy Committee.
She succeeds Councilwoman Karen Oxman, who has been the representative for eight years.
Oxman recently received the league’s Municipal Elected Officials Leadership Training Century Award.
The training program recognizes the efforts of officials who go the extra mile to increase their knowledge of municipal government and their capacity to lead.
Oxman took 100 hours of training credits in the program.
Claxton’s appointment is for one year.
