Kathryn Boyer
The recipient of the Robert (Bob) Hodapp Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Arvada High School senior Kathryn Boyer on May 24, during a Celebration of Academic Achievement.
Robert (Bob) Hodapp, a 1981 graduate of Arvada High School and business owner of a local landscape company “TNT Landscaping,” fondly remembered his high school years at Arvada as a time of learning, friendships, sports, and many great experiences. Until his passing in April, 2010, he shared his passion for family, friends, his dogs and his community. To honor his memory and inspire young people his family established the Robert (Bob) Hodapp Memorial Scholarship. Funded by private donations, this scholarship awarded $1,000 to a dedicated and inspiring senior graduating from Arvada with plans to attend college in the fall. Students were reviewed on academics, community service and an essay on their future plans and why this scholarship would be important to them. Other considerations included his/her potential to make a positive impact on society as well as their financial needs.
The Hodapp family is please to be able to support this fine young individual in honor of Robert (Bob) Hodapp.

Arvada high School graduates Alexandra Miller and Casaundra Culkin will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Opportunity to Better Yourself scholarship fund of The Jefferson Foundation.
Retired Jeffco educator Mary Ballenger and her husband, Roger, were fortunate to receive college educations. To pay it forward to the next generation of Arvada High School graduates, they established the Opportunity to Better Yourself Scholarship at The Jefferson Foundation. The scholarship fund has helped 20 students make their college ambitions a reality since 2003.
