DENVER – Some work is ongoing. Some work is new. But there’s plenty of road construction and lane closures in Adams County.
Here’s a list, courtesy of the Colorado Department of Transportation and the city of Commerce City.

Both directions of I-70 between Quebec and Havana: One lane closed for striping operations as part of the Central Park Boulevard project between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., Wednesdays through July 2012. Delays are possible.
City project manager Glenn Ellis said Union Pacific Railroad would close 96th Avenue at the railroad tracks for repairs June 7. It’s a one-day closure. Detours are 88th Avenue and 104th Avenue.
Ellis also said city crews are beginning to work on the U.S. Highway 85 and 104th Avenue interchange.
“This work will primarily be sewer installation and utility work in the upcoming weeks,” he said. “This work will not include lane closures. But there will be construction activity along the roadway.”
The city’s pavement rehabilitation project is on the drawing board. It’s along Monaco Street from 60th to 72nd avenues and along 56th Avenue from Quebec Street to US 85.
“This will be a mill and overlay project with lane closures,” Ellis said. “The start date hasn’t been identified yet. But it is expected within the next few weeks.”
