BRIGHTON — The arraignment for a former Brighton Collegiate High School teacher was continued to April 11.
David Lange is due back in court at 8:30 a.m. He is charged with sex assault on a child by a person in a position of trust and sex assault on a child, both felonies.
Lange lost his job at BCHS after allegations of misconduct with a 14-year-old student. The allegations included touching, kissing and meeting at a movie theater.
It was the fourth time in a three-year span that teacher at the former school had been accused of misconduct involving a student. The incident forced Brighton School District 27J to take control of the school. The BCHS board resigned, and the school eventually closed.
