Baseball club to operate ballpark

The Double Angel Ballpark is now under the operation and
management of the Double Angel Baseball Club. Double Angel
Foundation, a Parker nonprofit organization, built the baseball
park, a premier facility in the state, and has operated it since
its opening in 2006. More than 1,200 activities took place at the
park in 2010, with more than 25,000 people coming through the front
gates.

The Double Angel Foundation will now focus on providing
scholarships to worthy ballplayers, to grow the sport of baseball,
and will work to spread the message of the dangers of carbon
monoxide in boats as well as in homes and buildings. The foundation
was formed by Ken and Bambi Dixey in 2000, following the deaths of
their two baseball-loving sons, Dillon and Logan, who drowned after
being exposed to carbon monoxide while swimming off the back of a
houseboat while on vacation at Lake Powell.
