Softball drops five of first six

A victory Sunday over UC-San Diego helped the Mines softball team avoid a winless road trip to start the 2011 season. The Orediggers (1-5) defeated UC-San Diego 1-0 in the first game of a doubleheader before falling 2-1 in the second game.
