Allie Morosini, Maddie Tominello and Henry Smith, received
first, second and third place, respectively, in the Betty Field
Memorial Youth Writing Contest. The contest was open to all of the
Colorado Springs area and sponsored by Pikes Peak Library District
and Imagination Celebration. The three winners are all
sixth-graders from Lewis Palmer Middle School. The stories had to
be a mystery and six words that were pre-determined had to be used
somewhere in their story. The phrase, “the message read” also had
to be used in the first paragraph.
