Morgan Blake Docterman passed away June 3, 2008 at Memorial
Hospital in Colorado Springs, after a serious illness. Morgan was
born in the same hospital June 7, 1990.

As magnificent as his entry to this world was, it was barely
noticed by any other than close friends and family because his
birth was preceded by the Limon tornado. Morgan entered our lives
on the tail winds of nature’s magnificent fury and beauty. He swept
through our days, daring us to speak our truth, enjoy life and
dream big. An accomplished actor, comedian and guitar picker,
Morgan rarely read music or learned his lines for a play. He
learned to play songs by ear and improvisation was his favorite way
to act. Morgan’s trademark quality was the ability to fly by the
seat of his pants, yet somehow manage to soar with the eagles. In
the words of his friends, “Morgan gave you the space to be
yourself, express your emotions and put yourself out
there.”

Morgan will be greatly missed and leaves behind his mother and
father, Tim and Tamrah Ortiz, and brother Nathan, of Woodland Park;
grandmother Rose Mary Docterman of Simla; grandparents Sam and Gayl
Ortiz of Denver; uncle Devon Docterman of Cheyenne, Wyo.; aunt and
uncle Samantha and Steve Schriver of Evans; numerous great aunts
and uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. June 9, 2008 at the Big Sandy
