It is with sadness that I bid farewell to Java the Hut, my
favorite “watering hole” in Woodland Park since its
opening.

Whether visiting with a friend over a chai or meeting with
colleagues, the Hut provided an ideal space for a
get-together.

Owners Brian and Vi Mauldin created more than an inviting space
for enjoying a “cuppa Joe” and a breakfast burrito. They actively
supported scores of community organizations with donations of
coffee and rent-free meeting space.

Customers were always greeted with warmth and friendship. Brian
and Vi eagerly shared their knowledge and passion for the Colorado
mountains by organizing outings and hosting guest
presenters.

Thank you, Brian and Vi, and happy trails. I will miss you and I
will miss Java the Hut.
