Devne Ann Patterson died unexpectedly Sept. 14, 2006, at home in
Castle Rock.
She was born July 8, 1952, to Conrad Hansen Barrus, who preceded
her in death, and Barbara (Bobbe) Barrus in Honolulu,
Hawaii.
She leaves behind Tim, her husband of 21 years, and sons Brian
(Cristina) and Michael.
Devne’s nearly lifelong struggle with physical pain is now over.
Family and friends remember her unrelenting strength and determined
character as she kept her smile and sense of humor.
She treasured time spent with her family going on camping trips
to the Rockies, especially Estes Park.
She also leaves behind her devoted mother Bobbe Pope of Denver,
sister Wendy (Jim) Finley, and a large and loving extended
family.
Funeral services were Sept. 22, 2006, at The Rock, 4881 Cherokee
Drive, Castle Rock, with interment following at Cedar Hill
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a
charity of choice.
