Workforce open house
Jefferson County Workforce Center is having an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21.
The Center recently moved to the Laramie Building located on the Jefferson County Campus, 3500 Illinois St., Golden. This new location allows for more computers for job seeker customers, an assessment lab for testing and training capabilities and a business center to meet the needs of area employers. Tours of the new building will run continuously between 1 and 4 p.m. Residents are encouraged to stop by and view the new facility.
The recent move is one of many changes for Jefferson County Workforce Center. On July 1, the center changed its name from Tri-County to Jefferson County to better reflect the majority of the population it serves.
The Center will continue to serve the Tri-County region consisting of Jefferson, Gilpin, and Clear Creek counties. In mid-July, the center also debuted a new Web site, www.jeffcoworkforce.org , which provides more tools and information to better serve job seekers and employers alike.
For more information on Jefferson County Workforce Center’s services, visit its Web site, call 303-271-4700 or stop by the new location between the Human Services building and Fossil Trace Golf Club in Golden.
