John Calvin King, 71, of Franktown died Sept. 1, 2006, in Lone
Tree. A funeral service was Sept. 9 at the family’s home.
King was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Garden City, Mo. He was a
dentist in Denver and Franktown areas. He and Linnea Larson were
married Aug. 30, 1958.
He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, ranching and
engraving firearms. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for two
years.
Survivors include his wife of Franktown; son Kevin King of
Franktown; daughter Kirsten King of Elbert; daughter-in-law Shannon
King of Franktown; grandsons Russell and Ryan King of Franktown;
and sister Sandra Shafer of Denver.
Donations can be made in his memory to PBS Channel 6 or to the
American Cancer Society. No flowers, please.
