Jane Ojennes, 53, passed away July 24 in Colorado Springs. She
was born July 24, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Ray and Chris
Reyburn, who preceded her in death.
Jane was one of six sisters, who laughed and loved. She was a
mother to four children who she influenced every day: Dan, Chris,
Katie and Becky; a grandmother to three beautiful boys: Caleb,
Cameron and Tristan. She was a wife to the one and only with whom
she shared her life, John “OJ.”
Those who knew her would remember her strength, her courage and
her power of belief, particularly with her struggle with cancer
during her last months. She never gave up hope and inspired those
around her to continue pushing through the tough times no matter
how dark they may have seemed. She believed in love, a lesson from
God she took with her to the end. She had an art for capturing the
beauty of nature and a love for the wilderness that kept her on the
trails of the Rocky Mountains every spring and summer. She always
had the strength of a million men and the touch of an angel. In the
hearts of her family, that which was most important to her, she
will be dearly missed and remembered forever.
A memorial service was held July 27 at Swan-Law Cascade
Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer
Society, 1445 N Union Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
