Arvada Police Department investigators are hoping someone in the community can identify a man caught on videotape stealing a motorcycle from a home in the 8500 block of West 54th Place in the early morning hours of June 19.
The residents of the home installed a video camera on the corner of the house and caught the unidentified male approaching a motorcycle and then later stealing the 1996 Yamaha.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 22 and 26 years of age. He is described as being 5-foot, 10-inches tall to 6-foot-2 and roughly 160 pounds. The suspect has a shaved head and is wearing a white T-shirt, gloves and tennis shoes in the video. It also appears the suspect has some sort of tattoo on his left calf.
In the video – which is attached to this story — the suspect approaches the 1996 Yamaha, maroon in color, with a screwdriver and a hammer in his effort to steal the motorcycle.
If you have any information about the suspect in the video or this crime, please contact Detective Johnson at 720-898-6715.
