Robert Herrington
Robert T. Herrington, 72, of Grove, Okla., formerly of Castle
Rock, died Nov. 19 in Elizabeth.
A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. J.R. Polhemus, was
Nov. 23 at Church of the Rock in Castle Rock. Mr. Herrington was
cremated.
Robert Terrell Herrington was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Wetumka,
Okla., the son of Robert L. Herrington and Velma (Smith)
Herrington.
He and Evelyn Jane Franks were married Aug. 10, 1951. Mr.
Harrington worked for Southern Pacific Railroad in California,
before moving to Oklahoma in 1954. There he was employed with
Sparten Aeronautics. The Herringtons moved to Castle Rock in 1976,
where he worked for Hathaway Instruments, retiring in
1994.
Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great
grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Herrington is survived by his
children, Susan Rowin and her husband, Jim, of Broken Arrow, Okla.,
Robert Herrington Jr. and his wife, Mona, of Tulsa, Okla., Debbie
Morgan and her husband, Teddy, of Collinsville, Okla., Larry
Herrington and his wife, Karen, of Castle Rock, David Herrington
and his wife, Jackie, of Elizabeth, and Tommy Herrington and his
wife, Erica, of Castle Rock.
His grandchildren, Angie, Amy, Andrea, Alex, Zack, Yvonne,
Shaun, Chandra, Theodore, Ronnie, Chris, Brandi, Britney and
Marissa, and great-grandchildren Hunter, Sam, Elizabeth, Racheal
and Michelle also survive.
Also surviving are a brother, James Herrington, of Marble Falls,
Texas, and a sister, Carolyn Trottman, of Fort Collins.
Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, Castle Rock, made
arrangements.
