Dorothy Old
Dorothy Old, 87, of Castle Rock, died Sept. 20 at Castle Rock
Care Center.
Graveside services were Sept. 23, at Bucklin Cemetery, Bucklin,
Kan. The Rt. Rev. Quinton Moore officiated.
Born June 5, 1917, in Ingalls, Kansas, she was the daughter of
Alexander and Clara Anna (Imhoff) Newsom.
She married Harlan Old, July 17, 1944, in Trousdale, Kan. He
preceded her in death April 30, 1973.
Mrs. Old retired as a cook for Bucklin Hospital and had also
been employed by McDonnel-Douglas as a riveter. She had moved to
Castle Rock from Lyons, Kan. in 2000.
She was a longtime Bucklin resident and member of the Methodist
Church in Bucklin.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Charles
Old and several brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son
Garlan Old, of Lyons; daughters: Kathleen Roesti, Elizabeth and
Wanda Stewart, Federal Way, Wash.; seven grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren
