A computer conversion in the Jefferson County Human Services department has temporarily limited services to residents who are applying for benefits through certain programs.
The state shut down six computer systems used to manage benefit cases. The systems will remain down until Aug. 31 as data is transferred to a new system.
During the conversion, Jefferson County Human Services will only accept new benefits applications or conduct previously scheduled eligibility interviews.
