Truly ‘Running on Empty’
Kudos to your columnist Frank Morris for his review of “Running
on Empty” by former Secretary of Commerce Peterson. Unfortunately,
Mr. Peterson is “a voice crying in the Wilderness.”
Several generations of politicians, in both parties, have lied
to all of us for many years. This has blunted the urgent need to
reform Medicare and Social Security.
The book is available from the Douglas County Public Library
District. There’s not much time left to reform the social welfare
system that is driving the U.S. government toward
bankruptcy.
