You almost hit me

5400 block of Allison Street, May 17, 7:30 p.m.

A man, 19, said he was driving to his apartment when a red pickup pulled around the corner and almost hit him. He said he drove to his driveway, and the truck followed him. The truck was occupied by two males. “You almost hit me,” the driver said to the man. “What do you want to do,” the man replied. He said the passenger brandished a black handgun and pointed it at him. He said he was “scared crapless” and raised his hands before the truck drove off. He did not get a license plate number.

Customer service

9500 block of West 58th Avenue, May 15, 6:24 p.m.

Police were called to a liquor store by two male workers. They said a 21-year-old man and his 14-year-old sister came in. The man allegedly was drunk and he was refused a sale, which he did not like at all. The man allegedly became angry and belligerent, and the two clerks threw him out of the store. One clerk said he returned to the store to wait on some customers while his partner kept an eye on the man. Accounts vary, but everyone agreed that all three men ended up in a fistfight outside the store. The man was ticketed for disorderly conduct.

Insatiable

11100 block of West 68th Place, May 14, 7:09 a.m.

A man, 37, called police and said someone vandalized his pickup overnight. He said it was parked on the street and its windows were shattered with large rocks. He said he did not have any suspects other than some construction workers doing a job in the neighborhood. He said he voiced a sour opinion to a worker about no advance notice being given of the work in his neighborhood. He complained to the officer that in the two years he has lived in his neighborhood he has never seen an officer drive by. The officer put in the man’s residence for a special watch.

Beer face

8400 block of West 52nd Place, May 15, 5:27 p.m.

Officers got a report of a domestic at an apartment complex. They arrived at the complex and saw a man walking toward them. They asked if he was the man involved in the incident. “No,” he replied. “But if you see him, would you hit him for me?” The man explained that the other man had been arguing with his girlfriend all day, and it was nerve-racking. At that moment, the male half of the domestic walked up. He explained that his girlfriend threw a bottle of beer at his head, as he had a large red mark on his face. After talking with police in his apartment the man said his girlfriend left the area, and he did not want to press charges against her. He was evasive in giving any information about her, and police believed it was because he was protecting her. The man said he would spend the night elsewhere. He gave the police little to go on in finding his girlfriend.
