Traffic switched to its final alignment at the U.S. 85/Colorado
67 intersections in Sedalia last week.

The new lanes of southbound U.S. 85 and east and westbound
Colorado 67 opened Jan. 21, and the new northbound lane of U.S. 85
opened Jan. 22.

With the completion of this phase, the reconstruction of the
U.S. 85/Colorado 67 intersection is nearly complete. In addition to
the new U.S. 85 alignment through Sedalia, Colorado 67 has been
extended and widened to include new turn lanes and a traffic signal
at U.S. 85, improving vehicle movements through the area.

The former highway also was converted to a frontage road,
serving Sedalia businesses.

Intersection work resumes in early April for new sidewalks and
medians, final paving on Colorado 67 and frontage road and
additional landscaping. Completion of the $8 million project is
expected by the end of April.
