Jan Herrmann
Parker town employee Jan Herrmann this summer graduated from the
Colorado Institute for Municipal Clerks.
The institute requires students to take 50 hours of public
administration, finance, intergovernmental relations, management
and municipal law. In addition, students must have 30 hours of
social and interpersonal concerns, human relations, group dynamics
and individual motivation. The remaining 20 hours are in
job-specific skills such as records management, office
administration, written communication, election administration and
liquor licensing. Many municipal clerks use their institute credits
toward their certified municipal clerk designation through the
International Institute for Municipal Clerks.
