Carl Dunlap Ackerman

Carl Dunlap Ackerman, 92, of Castle Rock died April 29 at his
home. A memorial service was Saturday in Castle Rock. There was
cremation.

Born May 12, 1909, in Cleveland, he was the son of John and
Minnie (Dunlap) Ackerman. He graduated from Case Western Reserve
University in Cleveland. He married Elizabeth Louise Carothers.
They were married for 48 years before his wife died in
1986.

A vice president of sales, he retired from Tote Systems in
Beatrice, Neb., after 25 years of service.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Colorado
Springs. Mr. Ackerman enjoyed reading and cruises. He moved to
Castle Rock eight years ago from Colorado Springs.

He is survived by son Steve Ackerman and his wife, Dottie, of
Castle Rock, and granddaughter Gini Allen and her husband, Eric, of
Cheyenne, Wyo.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the American
Cancer Society, 2255 S. Oneida St., Denver, CO 80224.

Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home of Castle Rock made
arrangements.
