Daniel Patrick Tumey
Funeral services for Daniel Patrick Tumey, 43, of Bettendorf,
Iowa, were March 13 in Davenport, Iowa. Mr. Tumey died of a heart
attack March 9 at his home.
Born March 29, 1958, in Davenport, he was the son of William H.
and Angela Van Camp. He married Holly A. Kling March 21, 1981, in
Bettendorf. He was a 1976 graduate of Bettendorf High School and
was the founder, president and Chief Executive Officer of Energy
Systems Management Inc. in Bettendorf.
He enjoyed skiing with his family and friends, was an avid
golfer and always enjoyed the challenge of a chess game with his
son, Billy.
Mr. Tumey is survived by his wife of Bettendorf; children
Kelsey, Kitty and Billy Tumey of Bettendorf; his mother of
Bettendorf; brother Michael Tumey and his wife, Yereth, of
Anchorage, Alaska; grandmother Marie Tumey of Muscatine, Iowa; his
step-mother, Phyllis Tumey, of Castle Rock; step-brothers Todd
Meyer and his wife, Kristin, of Castle Rock and Tim and Laura
Meyer, of Iwakuni, Japan; and a step-grandmother C. Jayne Jeys, of
Davenport. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sue
Ellen Tumey.
