The Ponderosa boys’ basketball team came out running Friday and
didn’t slow down until it collected a 64-55 victory over
Rangeview.
David Cline and Byron Kiphart dominated for the Mustangs. Both
were 100 percent from the free-throw line and combined for 49 of
the Mustangs’ 64 points.
Ponderosa took the early lead and never relinquished it, but the
Raiders pulled to within eight points of the lead by halftime and
kept it close throughout the third quarter.
In the fourth, the Mustangs had their best quarter of the game
and pulled away from the Raiders to improve their standings to 3-5
in the league and 8-7 overall.
