Matthew Chandler, Robert Potts and Daniel Snedaker were
presented with their Eagle Scout awards at a recent court of
honor.
The three boys are members of Troop No. 53, sponsored by the
Dove Valley Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints.
Only 2 percent of those in Boy Scouts earn the rank of Eagle.
Each scout had to complete a minimum of 21 merit badges and perform
a community service project of at least 100 hours that has been
approved by a special review committee.
Chandler had a clothing drive, collecting one and a half tons of
necessities that were sent to aid victims of hurricane
Mitch.
Potts moved, reorganized and restocked grocery shelves for the
area Latter-day Saints Welfare Distribution Center in
Aurora.
Snedaker painted address numbers on curbs in Parker
neighborhoods, making it easier for emergency vehicles to identify
homes.
