Marie Walker

Marie Walker, 85, of Castle Rock, died Oct. 9 at the Brookside
Inn.

Rosary was Oct. 11 at Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, 407
Jerry St., Castle Rock. Mass of Christian burial was Thursday at
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 E. Highway 86, Castle
Rock. The Rev. Herb Hayek officiated.

Born July 5, 1915, in Case, she was the daughter of William and
Mamie Catherine (Hilyen) Schreiber.

She married Ralph J. Walker, Nov. 28, 1935, in Littleton. Mr.
Walker preceded her in death, Jan. 23, 1975.

A homemaker, Mrs. Walker was a member of St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church, the Pikes Peak Grange and Franktown Women’s Club.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, flowers and gardening.

She also was preceded in death by sisters Verna Lucas and Beulah
Kleinert and brother Glen Schreiber.

Mrs. Walker is survived by children Ray Walker and his wife,
Patricia, of Snowflake, Ariz., and Gene Walker and his wife,
Aleene, of Franktown; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren;
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the American
Heart Association, 1280 S. Parker Road, Denver, CO 80231 or to the
charity of choice.
